Transforming Sickle Cell Care: NASCO's Impact

As a key stakeholder in the SCD ecosystem, NASCO is working in collaboration with district, state, and national governments to reduce the incidence and prevalence of SCD in the country. By forging strong partnerships, NASCO aims to enhance access to comprehensive, optimal, and affordable care for every SCD patient across all healthcare facilities.

One of the core strategies employed by NASCO is the capacity building of patient advocacy groups (PAGs) across India. By equipping PAGs with the necessary knowledge and resources, NASCO aims to strengthen the collective voice of SCD patients and caregivers. This collective advocacy will enable NASCO to support government efforts and drive positive changes in healthcare policies and support systems.
